Before starting his stint in the jungle for the prime-time ITV hit, George Shelley sent a video message from the Great Wall of China to encourage the theatre group.

George, who rose to fame as part of X Factor finalists Union J and was once a member of the Phoenix Players, said: “Hi Pheonix, we wish you loads of luck for Aladdin. I’ll see you there, so good luck.

“Love you guys loads – see you soon.”

The pantomime will be performed at Stopsley High School in St Thomas Road on December 4, 5, 6, 11 and 12.
