The acclaimed musical will take centre stage at Milton Keynes Theatre next month.

Singin’ In The Rain stars stage and screen idol Maxwell Caulfield as studio boss R F Simpson, Coronation Street favourite Vicky Binns as starlet Lina Lamont, James Leece as Don Lockwood, Amy Ellen Richardson as Kathy Selden and Stephane Anelli as Cosmo Brown.

Don is a silent movie hero with everything he could want – fame, adulation and a well publicised ‘romance’ with his co-star Lina Lamont. But Hollywood is about to change forever. There are rumours of a new kind of film where actors actually talk, as well as sing and dance.

Can Don and the uniquely-voiced Lina make the transition, and will chorus girl Kathy Selden fulfil her dream of stardom and capture Don’s heart along the way?

Vicky Binns – best known as Molly Dobbs in Coronation Street – said: “To be in a musical of this scale and quality is a dream job for me. I was blown away when I saw the production in London so it’s a thrill to bring it straight from the West End to Milton Keynes.

“If, like me, you’ve seen and loved the film, it’s a real treat to see how it can be brought so lavishly to the stage. If not, what a way to experience the story for the first time – you can’t beat live theatre!”
