Deals being done despite economy

DESPITE the current difficult economic climate, sales of commercial units are still being achieved.

Dunstable-based Alexander & Co: Commercial & Industrial has confirmed the sale of Project House, pictured, an office building on the borders of Luton and Dunstable.

The detached building is on Cradock Road Industrial Estate. It has extensive parking and potential to expand to the flank. It was marketed at a guide price of £385,000 the 3,500 sq-ft.

A spokesman for Alexander & Co: Commercial and Industrial said: “In this uncertain time when bank lending and confidence is relatively low agreeing a sale is only the first half of a job, and a proactive approach to monitoring the transaction, liaising with purchaser, solicitors and lender is an essential and crucial part of ensuring completion of sale takes place.

“In this particular instance once the sale was agreed exchange of contracts happened within approximately one month and completion two weeks thereafter.”
