The Linden Academy is throwing open its doors on Saturday, June 25 – bring the whole family to enjoy a fun day out, and tour the school.

Looking for a fun family day out, and the chance to tour an inclusive and diverse primary school in Luton? Save the date for The Linden Academy Family Fun Fest on June 25.

The Family Fun Fest, which follows up on previous successful Lindenbury festivals held at the school, is on from 11am to 2pm, and is packed with activities for all ages. The line-up includes a mini farm – your chance to see goats, rabbits, pigs and donkeys – bouncy castles, cricket, local craft stalls, a table top sale and live music. There will also be the opportunity to enjoy a variety of refreshments and food including sweet treats from a local Luton based business, Yummy Chumz.

It’s the chance for the Linden community to welcome in the wider community, with tours of the school available on the day for prospective families.

Kerry Ward, Interim Head of School of The Linden Academy said: “We hope that our Family Fun Fest brings a fun, action packed day to our pupils and families, whilst also offering the chance for families outside our school, to visit us and enjoy the day.”

Anyone who wants to run a local craft stall at the event can do so for just £10 a stall, and there are still spaces at the table top sale – email [email protected] for more information and to reserve a slot.

While entry is fee, some of the activities may incur an additional cost. There is also free parking at The Chiltern Academy in Gypsy Lane.

Prospective parents and pupils will have the chance to tour the facilities and meet the team in this child-centred environment where there’s a strong emphasis on making children feel happy, safe and secure, so that they thrive.

Sumaira Nawaz, Deputy Head and Leader of EYFS added: “Through building positive relationships, creating a supportive atmosphere, building resilience and encouraging children to share how they are feeling, we are able to help the children to manage growing up in the modern world and be as worry free as possible so they can access the great learning opportunities being provided to them.

“We endeavour to support our children to be the very best they can be whilst being well-rounded individuals who can positively impact the community.”

And that well rounded experience is topped off by a range of excellent learning opportunities and the latest technology, making the whole learning experience memorable and worthwhile.

Kerry Ward said: “The Linden Academy has dedicated and passionate staff who set high standards and expectations for both behaviour and learning. Children are encouraged to take risks in their learning, pushing themselves to come out of their comfort zones. If mistakes are made, the children are supported to learn from these mistakes which makes the learning experience more memorable.”

The school’s five values – respect, honest, hardworking, caring and understanding – are at the heart of everything they do for the children, and to develop the children, their attitudes and behaviours.
