Speed-dating for airport buyers

LOCAL businesses are invited to sign up for a Meet The Buyer event at Putteridgebury Conference Centre on October 18.

The event offers local suppliers the chance to showcase their products and services to airport-related companies.

It works on a speed-dating format, giving suppliers the chance to pitch to selected buyers –both buyers and suppliers are carefull assessed to ensure meetings are as mutually beneficial as possible.

Councillor Sian Timoney said: “We are always looking for ways to grow the local economy. This is an important event to help local businesses, giving them the chance to demonstrate what they offer and what they can do.

“It’s also a good way to build business networks, helping people to develop lasting business relationships and boost local employment levels too.”

If you’d like to attend the event, register before August 28 at www.londonlutonmeetthebuyer.com.

Suppliers will be screened and invited to attend a two hour training workshop on ‘How to pitch in 10 minutes’, and a networking lunch, on Monday 1 October.
