Strong academic outcomes

“The Stockwood Park Academy offers families a first-class local school, with a focus on strong academic outcomes alongside a rich offer of character-building opportunities,” says Head of School Mumin Humayun.

“Our facilities are superb with a school gym, contemplation room, extensive IT facilities, 3D printers, large and expansive playing fields. We also have a purpose-built sixth form centre which supports students across The Shared Learning Trust.

“It is a place where diversity of experience and background is valued, where all students can flourish and grow, whatever their interest or aspiration.”

Strive, Achieve, Believe!

“The Stockwood Park Academy is proud to serve the local community. Our motto, ‘strong academic outcomes’, encapsulates our vision; we enable all our learners to develop and flourish, who strive to do their best, take pride in all they achieve and believe in themselves,” he continues.

“Our curriculum is designed to promote intellectually curious young people, with the confidence to take their place in whatever field they choose. We believe in aiming high, with challenge and support, to ensure that dreams become reality. Our Stockwood Park HABITS – aspiration, optimism, hard work, resilience, honesty and kindness – are equally important.”

Community projects

At The Stockwood Park Academy, students are encouraged to become involved with community projects. “Our passion for learning, however, extends well beyond academic life. Embedded in this is a focus on spiritual, moral, social and cultural aspects which enable students to reflect on their learning and wider issues around them,” adds Mr Humayun.

Bespoke induction for Year 7

And, for a young generation who have weathered the pandemic, the focus is firmly on all-round support as they journey through the school.

“We are known for our exceptionally strong relationships between staff and students which allow for individual talents to be nurtured and developed. Our pastoral system ensures every student is known as an individual and receives the support they need, which include a bespoke induction programme for Year 7 students,” he adds.

“All of our students are expected to work hard and behave in an exemplary fashion. This is achieved through clear expectations and a comprehensive rewards system that encourage students to do well and ensures they feel safe and able to meet the challenges set.

“Ultimately, what makes The Stockwood Park Academy special is not the buildings or facilities but our can-do attitude and our commitment to always putting our students above anything else.”
