The Shared Learning Trust offers an inclusive sixth form experience, where each student is valued for their abilities and is set on the pathway which suits them best.

Moving on to sixth form studies is a major milestone for many young people, but above all, both parents and students want the transition to be smooth and to set them on the right track for the future that they want for themselves.

Nationally, A Level pass rates for pupils fell significantly after schools returned to using exams to grade performance for the first time since 2019. The Shared Learning Trust Sixth Form saw overall increases in this years A-Level results from pre-pandemic levels, with some exceptional personal successes by individual students.

Situated in new buildings which opened in 2019 at both The Chalk Hills Academy and The Stockwood Park Academy, the Sixth Form received impressive results with many students being awarded three A-Levels with grades A* - E, and just under half of the Sixth Form achieving top A-Level grades of AAB. As always, the applied general grades continue to improve, and the applied average grade was a Distinction.

What does the sixth form offer?

The school offers personalised curriculums so that each student is treated as an individual. Smaller teaching classes and excellent private study facilities allow students every opportunity to make the most of their teaching and study time.

There are leadership development opportunities to help sixth form pupils grow and develop as individuals, as well as gain qualifications. They have links with local and national businesses, universities and training providers which can be invaluable in helping them take the next step.
