Coronavirus latest: Four new infections brings Luton total to 810

Four new coronavirus infections have been confirmed in Luton over the past 24 hours, according to figures from Public Health England.

It brings the total number of cases in the borough to 810.

Elsewhere in the county, Central Bedfordshire has 718 (+4) cases while Bedford's figure has risen to 753 (+8).

There have been no further coronavirus-related deaths reported at Luton & Dunstable Hospital since the weekend.

NHS England figures show 270 people with the disease have died at the L&D as of 5pm on Sunday, June 14.

Across the country, there have been 299,251 infections at an increase of 1,115 over the past 24 hours.

A total of 42,153 people have died with coronavirus in the UK, up by 184 since yesterday.
