Coronavirus latest: Seven new cases confirmed in Luton

Seven new instances of coronavirus have been confirmed in Luton today, according to figures from Public Health England.

The total number of infections in the borough now stands at 1,536 (+7).

Yesterday (Saturday) saw two new cases added, with five on Friday and three on Thursday.

Elsewhere in the county, Central Bedfordshire has 1,265 (+2) cases while Bedford's figure stands at 1,324 (+11).

Across the country, there have been 299,426 infections at an increase of 747 over the past 24 hours.

45,752 people have died with coronavirus in the UK, up by 14 since yesterday.
