Coronavirus latest: Three new cases confirmed in Luton

Three new instances of coronavirus have been confirmed in Luton in the past 24 hours, according to figures from Public Health England.

The total new of cases in the borough now stands at 1,679 (+3).

It comes after four new cases were reported yesterday (Sunday) in Luton.

Elsewhere in the county, Central Bedfordshire has 1,316 (+2) cases, while Bedford's figure has been revised down to 1,397 (+1).

Altogether, 319,197 people across the UK have been diagnosed with coronavirus, up by 713 since yesterday.

Public Health England is reevaluating how it analyses Covid-19 deaths.

New deaths will only be recorded as Covid-19-related if they occurred within 28 days of the patient's first diagnosis of coronavirus.
