Coronavirus latest: Two new cases in Luton brings total to 834

Two new instances of coronavirus have been confirmed in Luton over the past 24 hours, according to Public Health England.

It brings the total number of cases in the borough to 834. Yesterday (Sunday) saw eight new infections confirmed.

Elsewhere in the county, Central Bedfordshire has 747 (+2) cases while Bedford's figure remains at 776 (0).

There have been no new coronavirus-related deaths reported at Luton & Dunstable Hospital today.

NHS England figures show 274 people with the disease have died at the L&D as of 5pm on Sunday, June 21.

Across the country, there have been 305,289 infections at an increase of 958 over the past 24 hours.

A total of 42,647 people have died with coronavirus in the UK, up by 15 since yesterday.
