Data released by the Office for National Statistics pinpoints fatalities linked to Covid-19 in each postcode area between March 1 and April 17.

Hide AdIt breaks England and Wales down into more than 7,000 neighbourhoods of about 7,000 residents each.Five out of every six of these areas has seen someone die after contracting Covid-19 by April 17.
Areas where there are care homes tend to be higher than purely residential postcodes.
Second highest is Warden Hill and Barnfield - each with nine deaths, followed by Challney with eight deaths,

Hide AdAll of these areas have care homes for frail and elderly people in their midst.
St Ann's Hill, Kingsway and Lewsey North have each suffered six deaths while Limbury and Montrose Avenue have each had five.
Leagrave, Marsh Farm, Stopsley North and Farley Hill areas have seen four each.
The following areas have suffered three deaths each: Lewsey South, Stopsley South, Sundon Park and Bramingham have died from Covid-19..

Hide AdNew Town and Wigmore & Airport have the lowest numbers, with two deaths each.
ONS date shows nationally that poorer areas are particularly badly hit by the pandemic.
Nick Stripe, Head of Health Analysis at the ONS, said: “People living in more deprived areas have experienced Covid-19 mortality rates more than double those living in less deprived areas.
“General mortality rates are normally higher in more deprived areas, but so far COVID-19 appears to be taking them higher still.”
