When will new Tier 3 restrictions for Luton be reviewed?

From this Saturday, December 19, Luton, along with the whole of Bedfordshire will be designated in the Tier 3 (Very High alert) category by central government.

The Government’s coronavirus committee reviewed the tiers on Wednesday, for the first time since the system was brought back after lockdown.

There will be a five-day relaxation of restrictions from December 23 to 27, which will allow up to three households to congregate for Christmas.

Reviews will continue every two weeks, so there will be another on December 30, and then a third on January 13.

MPs will vote on the tier system again on January 27.
