Footloose and fancy free Griffins

EVER since Kevin Bacon first leapt onto the big screen as Ren McCormack in the 1980s film version of ‘Footloose’, music-lovers have been kicking off their Sunday shoes to dance to the infectious soundtrack.

Bacon plays city boy Ren who arrives in a small sleepy town in America to shake things up and bring music and dance back to the town.

Now the Griffin Players are resurrecting the popular musical for Luton audiences and Ren is played by Griffin new boy Terry Hooper.

Kim Albone plays his love interest, the preacher’s daughter Ariel Moore.

Can Ren shake his bad boy image to win the approval of Ariel’s parents and in turn help the town overcome the tragedy which is hanging over them?

With original music as well as classic 80s hits from the film like ‘Let’s Hear It For the Boy’ and ‘Holding Out For A Hero’, the show provides an evening of pure nostaligia, entertainment and enjoyment.

The talented Griffin Players production team of Richard Alexander, Paul Ramsey and Kate Johnson will make this a night to remember and have you dancing all the way home.
