For just six weeks, visitors will be transported to Zoorassic Park, a prehistoric world where they will come face to face with life-size, moving dinosaurs, from an immense but gentle brachiosaurus to the formidable presence of a towering tyrannosaurus rex.

There will be a chance to step back in time into the sights and sounds of the Mesozoic era, where lesser-known creatures like the gargantuan, winged quetzalcoatlus as well as spot dino-fan favourites like the triceratops, proudly guarding its nest, can be encountered.

Families will be able to meet the zoo’s ‘dinosaur keepers’ and learn all about the fascinating creatures that lived 65 million years ago, as well as the important work ZSL’s scientists are doing to help prevent today’s animals from becoming extinct.

There will also be fossil digging activities, daily shows in which visitors can discover How to Train Your Dinosaur and a trail for children to complete, and little ones can even turn themselves into their favourite dinosaur at the face-painting stand.

Serious dino-enthusiasts can take their day out to another level by sleeping-over near the mega-beasts, experiencing the sights and sounds of ZSL Whipsnade Zoo at night. The Snorassic Park experience is available on selected dates in August only. Visit www.zsl.org for details.
