A 31-year-old man from Dunstable jumped 12,000ft out of a plane on Friday, October 31, to raise money for charity.

Oliver Palmer, of Westfield Road, took part in the Jump For Love skydive to raise money for Saying Goodbye, a baby loss charity.

The charity helped him and his wife through a difficult time when she had a miscarriage in February.

He said: “Saying Goodbye helped us through a terrible time.

“I want to raise money for the charity to create awareness that at no matter what stage of pregnancy a baby is lost, people need time to grieve and help get over the loss.”

He raised over £1400 for the charity.

He added: “The skydive was awesome, such a great experience. I am glad I was able to raise money and awareness for the charity, it has been really successful in both ways.

“I have had people come up to me since the skydive and tell me how it has helped them get in touch with the charity.”
