In Doing Nothing I found Me tackles the universal questions confronting youngsters everywhere – what do I want to be? And what happens when I don’t know?

David said: “Like everything we do, it started off as an honest and open conversation with our young people. And it was incredible we found common ground so quickly.

“These questions led to a shared fear of who we are and where we’re going, coupled with the pressures and expectations placed on us to conform.”

The result is a gripping story about a boy, Peter, who speaks on behalf of his peers in a production that is being funded by the Arts Council.

David explained: “The show captures the many thoughts and feelings of our young people, their need to feel valued and get the recognition they deserve.

“Join Peter on an adventure into the unknown, a story of discovery, a journey we will all face, head on.”

> In Doing Nothing I Found Me is at the Hat Factory on April 8 and 9. Tickets are £10 (£8 concessions) from the Box Office on 01582 878100.
