Bazaar to raise money

Dunstable Dubbers Volkswagen Club is organising a charity Christmas Bazaar on Sunday, November 29.

Members of the club are hosting the bazaar at Downside Community Centre, Suffolk Road, from 2pm till 5pm.

Children can visit Santa’s grotto and there will be a raffle and craft stalls.

Charlotte Green, one of the organisers, said: “The event is free and everyone is welcome to come along, there will be lots of different things going on and any money we raise will go to Macmillan.

“As well as Santa’s grotto we will have a tombola, face painting, bric-a-brac, cakes, cookies, mince pies and refreshments.

“I chose Macmillan because a friend of mine from Dunstable Dubbers recently had breast cancer and they helped and supported her a lot. I hope we can raise between £100 and £200 for the charity.

“The idea is that everyone has a great time, gets in the Christmas spirit and we can support Macmillan.”

Dunstable Dubbers is made up of Volkswagen enthusiasts who regularly raise money for different local charities.

Last year the group raised £4000 for Keech Hospice Care and took presents for the children at the hospice.
