If you want to get fit and see something of Dunstable at the same time then a new health scheme could be for you.
1Life, who operates Dunstable Leisure Centre, is launching its national walking programme, Walk More Live Well in Dunstable.
The scheme, being run with Walking for Health will see weekly walks being offered to members of the community starting at Dunstable Leisure Centre and run by trained walk leaders and volunteers.
Lucy Emerton health and physical activity co-ordinator in Dunstable said: “The walks will be provide everyone in the local community with access to a free and friendly walk that take in some of our local sights and countryside. We are very excited to be able to offer these walks in association with Walking for Health and are sure that they will have a really positive impact for many people.”
The weekly walk is run from Dunstable Leisure Centre. Participants are advised to meet in the cafe at 10.15am on Thursdays. The walk will start at 10.30am and last for approximately 45 minutes.
The walks are free of charge and there is no need to book.
