Bithrey beats Sutton at county finals day

South Beds Golf Club’s Alex Bithrey triumphed in Sunday’s Bedfordshire County Golf Union’s finals day at Beadlow Manor.

He beat Bedfordshire county champion Rob Sutton of Dunstable Downs Golf Club in the matchplay competition.

In August, Bithrey, 15, won the individual prize in the Leslie Randall Trophy held at South Beds GC.

The Harlington Upper School pupil was also recently selected to be one of the eight-strong Eastern Region U18 team.

He is also the current Bedfordshire boys champion and Junior vice-captain at South Beds.
