Change of date for Race for Life

Cancer Research UK's Race for Life will take place at Dunstable Downs on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, May 21 and 22, and not in June as previously stated.

Local women will still have a choice of three events - 5km, 10km or Pretty Muddy.

Organisers hope more than 5,000 will take part to raise £350,000 for life-saving research.

RFL spokeswoman Cara Waller said: “Pledging to take part, alongside thousands of like-minded women, can be a great incentive to shift the post-Christmas pounds.

“The atmosphere is incredibly supportive and it’s a great way to celebrate those who have survived cancer as well as pay tribute to those whose lives have been cut short.”
