Appeal after dog attack

Police would like to speak to the owner of a dog which attacked a small terrier in Luton on Wednesday (16 March).

At around 11.15am a large tan coloured dog of unknown breed, which was off the lead, attacked the small terrier in the driveway of a house in Watermead Road, Luton, causing injuries that need treatment .

A man wearing a dark hooded top pulled the dog away and left the location.

PC Richard Warren, investigating, said: “The owner has been shocked and distressed by the incident and has incurred more than £100 in costs for the treatment.

“We would like to remind dog owners it’s against the law to let a dog be dangerously out of control in a public or private place and I would like to speak to the owner of the tan coloured dog or anyone who witnessed the incident.”
