He is known to have been depressed after the recent news of his wife’s ill health.

Det Con Gill Cowley, investigating said: “Bedfordshire Police and his family are very concerned for Terry. We know he is very worried having received upsetting news recently and his own physical health is poor having suffered four strokes. He requires medication for a number of conditions, without which he could suffer further ill-health himself. If Terry or anyone else knows of this whereabouts, please contact the police.”

Terry is white, with grey thinning hair and a grey beard.

He was last seen wearing a navy Reebok rain coat, black and brown striped jumper, dark blue jogging trousers with white stripes down the side, brown shoes and carrying a black walking stick.

As a result of a stroke he walks with a limp and holds his left hand clenched behind his back.

The photo is from Mr Smith’s passport – it is the only picture the family has.

Recent ill-health has taken its toll on him and he is described as looking significantly older than he does in this picture.

Anyone with information or sightings of Terry should call Bedfordshire Police on 101, or text information to 07786 200011.
