Beds police are appealing for information after a car failed to stop after being involved in a road traffic collision yesterday.

The collision happened just before the traffic lights outside the Leicester Arms public house on Dunstable Road, Luton at 5.35 p.m. today and involved a male pedestrian in his 70’s.

The an suffered serious injuries, which he is being treated for at the Luton and Dunstable hospital.

Sgt. Chris Smith, investigating, is keen to trace anyone who saw the collision and can help identify the car and the driver, who left the scene towards Dunstable without stopping.
