Mohammed Sufiyan Choudry, a 22-year-old accounts manager from Maidenhead in Berkshire, is accused of addressing a meeting in the town in July 2015.

It is claimed that the purpose of Choudry’s speech was to “encourage support for a proscribed organisation, namely Islamic State, or to further its activities, contrary to the Terrorism Act.”

The 22-year-old pleaded not guilty at Westminster Magistrates’ Court and has been remanded on bail to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.
