A 15-year-old biker was left with facial injuries after colliding with a car in the centre of Houghton Regis.
The accident on High Street roundabout took place on Friday, August 14, just before Bedfordshire Police launched a weekend operation to clamp down on nuisance bikers.
According to a witness, the teenager fled the scene as bystanders called police on 101.
A Beds Police spokesman said: “We were called to reports of a collision between an off-road bike and a car on a roundabout in High Street, Houghton Regis, at about 5.45pm on Friday .
“The rider made off from the scene and was witnessed getting into a white van. Work is on-going to identify and trace the rider.”
