Facebook users reacted with horror at injuries sustained from a brutal street attack in Dunstable.

Brandon Swann, pictured, was attacked as he walked past the Norman King pub in Church Street shortly after 4pm on Tuesday, June 9.

Brandon wrote on Facebook: “I was outside of the old Norman King when I saw someone I used to know and her friend assaulted me when I turned around to walk away.”

He added: “He hit me when I was walking away and when I was on the ground he kicked and punched my face five times.”

Brandon was left bleeding and drifting out of consciousness when paramedics arrived. He was taken to Luton & Dunstable Hospital for treatment.

A picture of Brandon’s injuries posted on Facebook yesterday (June 10) provoked outrage from users about the brutal assault.

Nigel Conroy posted: “This sickens me, how does one human being do this to another? Hope he’s caught and dealt with.”

Amanda Gurney posted: “Cannot believe you have been treated this way for just talking to a friend. I hope they catch the nasty piece of work that did this to you. Wishing you a quick recovery.”

Beds Police are investigating the incident. A spokesman confirmed that a male victim was “approached by another man who punched and kicked him, leaving him with facial and back injuries.”
