Police link serious assaults in Dunstable


Police are investigating two serious assaults in Dunstable which they believe are linked, in which the victims were left with serious injuries.

The first incident took place on Matthew Street at around 3am on Saturday, May 7, the victim was approached by an unknown number of offenders before being assaulted, he sustained serious facial injuries.

At a similar time, another male was attacked with a bottle in an alleyway off High Street North.

Both victims were in their early 20’s and received hospital treatment for their injuries

Detective Constable Phil Raikes, investigating, said: “These attacks were needless and violent, and at this stage we believe them to be linked.

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed either incident, or who has any information about what happened, to come forward.”
