Porter stabbed during Old Palace Lodge robbery in Dunstable

Police have revealed that a man was stabbed in The Old Palace Lodge during a robbery last month.

We had previously reported the robbery, which took place on July 6.

This morning, Beds Police revealed that the offenders also stabbed a porter while fleeing the hotel.

A police spokesman said: “At approximately 1.10am, two men entered The Old Palace Lodge Hotel in Church Street and demanded the night porter open the safe so that they could take the money.

“On leaving the hotel, one of the men is believed to have stabbed the porter.”
