Sentencing has been adjourned for a man who wielded samurai nunchuks during a street fight in Houghton Regis.

Shaun Burden, 22, was convicted of violent disorder and possessing an offensive weapon in the incident at Recreation Road on June 25 last year.

Burden was found guilty on January 12 after a trial by jury but sentencing was adjourned to February 2 for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

Yesterday, Burden’s defence appeared at Luton Crown Court to state they had been unable to locate his GP to help with the report.

A further adjournment was granted until February 19. Bail was denied.
