Stabbed man '˜critical'

Police investigating a double stabbing in Luton on Sunday are treating it as an isolated incident and are appealing for witnesses.

The incident took place just before 6am and two men were taken to hospital. One is now in a critical condition and the second man is serious but stable.

Crime scenes investigations were in place in Buxton Road and Alma Street through the day.

One man has been arrested and is being questioned.

Detective Inspector Chris Beresford, investigating said: “I would like to reassure the public that we are treating this as an isolated incident and do not believe there to be a risk for the wider public.”
