Teenage boy stabbed in the leg in Dunstable

A boy was stabbed in the leg in an unprovoked attack by a gang last Friday.

The 15-year-old victim was approached by a group of teenagers at 7.10pm.

They verbally abused him before punching him in the head and stabbing him in the leg.

Det Con Ann Ward said: “This was an unprovoked attack by a group of young men on an innocent victim. The teenager was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries and it is lucky that he was not more seriously hurt.

“One person has been arrested but we are still seeking other people in connection with the incident and we would urge anyone with information to contact us immediately.”

Two of the attackers were

17 and white. One was 5ft 11ins, slim with a deep voice, and was wearing a black hooded top with a Nike hat and dark blue jeans. The second was 5ft 9ins, of average build and was wearing a dark hooded top and tracksuit bottoms.

A 16-year-old was arrested on Saturday on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has been bailed with strict conditions until April 30.
