Two people have been arrested after armed police seized a machete in Luton today.

A Bedfordshire Police spokesman said: "We were called at approximately 10.55am this morning (Thursday, May 7) to reports of a man with a knife in a park in Blundell Road, Luton.
"Officers attended and two men were arrested, one on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and one on suspicion of possession of a bladed/ sharply pointed article in a public place.
"They have been taken to police custody for questioning.
"One machete and one knife were seized."
