Witness appeal to assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 39-year-old man had his jaw broken outside a pub in Dunstable.

The assault happened between 4am and 4:30am on Sunday, August 10, outside the Nags Head pub, High Street North.

The victim had tried to break up a fight earlier in the Crown pub and was challenged to a fight by the offender.

He refused, left the pub and made his way along High Street North, but was followed by the offender who attacked him, he suffered a broken jaw and had two front teeth knocked out.

The offender was a black man, 6ft 4ins tall and average build.
