A woman in Houghton Regis came home to find intruders boxing up her belongings yesterday.

The woman entered her house in Portland Ride at around 5.10pm and found that two young men had broken in.

The men fled the scene, discarding boxes of items that they had stolen as they went.

Both men are described as being around 17-years-old.

One was wearing a grey jumper and one was wearing a dark coat with its hood up, and a peaked cap.

PC Lucy Craddock, investigating, said: “I’m appealing for anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area at the time, or who saw two men running along Portland Ride at around 5 – 5.30pm, to contact me.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Craddock on 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
