Police were called after rubble fell from a roof in Dunstable yesterday.
Debris was spotted lying in front of the post office building at High Street North yesterday evening.
Emergency services were quickly called to secure the building.
A Beds Police spokesman said: “We were called at 7.45pm to reports of some rubble and metal lying on the pavement.
“On our arrival, we worked to make the building safe and secured the scene as best as possible.”
After securing the scene, police informed the council who will take charge of the maintenance of the building.
