Delays on M1 after two collisions

MOTORISTS are experiencing further hold-ups on the M1 after a crash involving a car and a lorry just before 10am this morning.

Police are currently in attendance at the collision on the northbound carriageway between junctions 10 and 11.

It follows a three-vehicle crash at 7.15am this morning between Toddington services and junction 12. A car and two light goods vehicles were involved and drivers experienced long queues as police worked to clear the scene.

Fire crews from Dunstable and Toddington were sent to the crash as it was thought the driver of the car was trapped, but they had managed to free themselves by the time the emergency services arrived.

The driver, a woman, suffered slight injuries and was taken to the Luton & Dunstable Hospital.
