The care home, on London road, is launching a monthly cinema club for people living with dementia and their carers.

The first screening at the free cinema club will be Singin’ in the Rain on Tuesday, November 13, at 1pm.

Home Manager Martyn Dawes said: “Going to the cinema is one of my favourite past times and I wanted to make sure that people living with dementia and their families have the same opportunity.

“Every month we’ll be showing classic films, complete with free popcorn and homemade ice cream that can be enjoyed by everyone.

“Nothing beats the big screen so we’re delighted we can open our Picture House to the public like this.”
