Youth For Help, a National Citizens Service group, raised £250 at a fundraiser for Dunstable Foodbank.
The 13 members, aged 16-17 years old, from Dunstable, sold cakes and did face painting at Dunstable Salvation Army.
They bought food with the money raised and donated it to the Foodbank on Monday, March 23.
Sophia Harris, 17, one of the team leaders, said: “The project was organised by our NCS group, Youth For Help, it was a mutual decision to help out the Foodbank because we think there are a lot of family’s in need.
“We bought non perishable foods such as tins and the Foodbank came shopping with us.”
National Citizens Service is a government organisation set up to teach young people life skills and to help the community.
