National Citizens Service (NCS) are organising a fundraiser to raise money for Dunstable Foodbank on Saturday, March 14.
The 13 members, aged 16-17, are holding the event at Dunstable Salvation Army between 10am and 2pm.
There will be cake sales and face painting and there will be card making and other activities for Mother’s Day.
Sophia Harris, 17, one of the team leaders, said: “The project was organised by our NCS group, Youth For Help, we all decided to help out Dunstable Foodbank because there are a lot of family’s in need that they help, it is a great cause and helps so many people.
“We are raising money and then we will buy food to donate to them as they do not accept monetary donations.”
NCS is a government organisation set up to teach young people life skills and to help the community.
