Participants can walk, jog or run 1 or 2 laps around the 5k circuit which meanders through the scenic Deer Park.

The mid morning start see’s participants set off at 11am, ideal for families and friends who can enjoy the beautiful grounds of this protected park and then enjoy a Sunday picnic.

The jog is now in its fifth year, and provides a rare opportunity to get free entry to one of Bedfordshire’s most treasured locations. Nearly 700 people took part last year and the BHF is hoping even more people will take part in 2011 as they celebrate their 50th anniversary year.

Rob Cox, British Heart Foundation regional events organiser, said: “We are hoping the beautiful sunny weather will encourage locals to dust off their trainers and sign up. With only a month to go we are very excited about the event as it is also the BHF’s 50th anniversary.

“Locals have been continually supportive of this event and we would like to thank everyone who took part in 2010. We would like to encourage new and past participants to sign up and take part again this year to help us celebrate our 50th.”
