In Dunstable we have a diverse and vibrant night time economy to tempt late night revellers, theatre buffs and food lovers alike!

But how do you check if the pub you choose is well-run and comes with a recommendation? How do you know if you are visiting a venue that is Best Bar None?

Best Bar None is a National Award Scheme supported by the Home Office and aimed at promoting responsible management and operation of alcohol licensed premises, working towards creating safe, vibrant town centres.

Licensed premises in Dunstable, Houghton Regis and Leighton Buzzard have now signed up to the 2016 scheme. Assessments will be carried out between June and August with judging taking place in October. Premises will need to meet minimum criteria in order to receive accreditation.

But it’s not all about the assessor’s judgement, Best Bar None wants your feedback too! Introduced in 2015, the People’s Vote, gives us the customers, an opportunity to praise fun, safe establishments that are great places to spend our leisure time.

Last year 790 public votes were received with Dunstable Leisure Centre winning the Best Bar None and Go Houghton the People’s Vote. The People’s vote commences in September so make sure you have your say to promote your favourite venue.
