Queensbury Academy celebrated significant improvement across the board as students opened their GCSE results on Thursday.
Just under three quarters (74%) of pupils gained A*-C grades in English and 64% managed an A*-C in Maths– a 9% rise on last year’s results.
In all 56% of students received A*-C grades in both subjects.
Pupils achieving the most impressive set of results included Elayna Jennings (eight A*, one A, one B, one C), Sophie Gooding (three A*, five As, one B, one C), Katie McAleese (three A*, four As, three B grades), Kirsty Spicer (three A*, five As, two Bs, two Cs), Freja Baldock (two A*, six As, two Bs, one C) and Maddie Crossley (two A*, seven As, two Bs).
