Organisers will be praying for some summer sunshine for this weekend’s annual Studham May Fair.
It takes place on Saturday, May 21 on The Common and is expected to attract hundreds of people.
The fun gets underway officially at 2pm when May Queen Cara Field declares the fair open, with maypole dancing to follow by the children of Studham School.
There will also be a fun dog show, stalls and sideshows, a raffle with a £100 first prize, a Pimms stall and refreshments in the village hall.
Admission to the event is free. It is organised by the Friends of Studham Church with proceeds for the upkeep the building and its surrounds.
A spokesman said: “The good weather has been booked and the Friends’ May Fair sub committee is working hard behind the scenes to help put on another great May Fair this year.
“As well as the familiar activities there will be some exciting new attractions to enjoy and by popular demand Appreciating Animals for the children and a Fun Dog Show will return.
