Families flock to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo as the doors re-open
ZSL has implemented new guidelines across the zoo
Thousands of visitors headed to ZSL Whipsnade Zoo today (Monday) as the UK’s largest zoo reopened its doors for the first time since lockdown began.
Visitors who secured one of the 3,000 tickets released last week basked in sunshine as they enjoyed the Zoo’s incredible wildlife, including six-month old Greater one-horned rhino, Zhiwa, wild boar piglets born in lockdown and the Zoo’s herd of Asian elephants.
Visitors formed a socially-distanced queue this morning eagerly waiting to visit the 600-acre site.
The international conservation charity has implemented new guidelines across the zoo to ensure guests can safely enjoy the wonders of wildlife and nature.
