After shots were fired at a house in Houghton Regis, police have issued CCTV images one month on to help with investigations into what is believed to have been a “targeted incident”.
At around 10.55pm on Thursday, September 20, two shots were fired at a window of a house in Trident Drive. One person sustained minor injuries from broken glass.
Bedfordshire Police’s Boson team, dedicated to tackling gun criminality, has been investigating the incident.
Detective Sergeant Wil Taylor, from Boson, said: “Understandably this will cause concern amongst our communities, so I’d like to reassure the wider public that we believe this was a targeted incident rather than a random attack.
“We’re taking this incident incredibly seriously and we’re looking at a number of lines of enquiry to help us establish the circumstances surrounding the incident. As part of our investigation we’re keen to identify the person pictured in the CCTV image and would urge anyone with any information to come forward.
“If you recognise any part of the person in the CCTV, including any items of clothing, please contact us. We ask for the assistance of the public to keep Bedfordshire a safe place to live – so if anyone has knowledge about illegally held firearms we ask they give us a call.”
Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 quoting reference number 40/25949/18.
