Have your say on policing in Bedfordshire

THE public is being asked for its views on the new policing plan for Bedfordshire, which will set out how policing is carried out for the next five years.

Bedfordshire Police Authority says the plan is the forerunner to the Policing and Crime Plan which will be produced by the county’s first police commissioner, who will be elected next November.

Authority chairman Peter Conniff said: “It’s important that everyone has the opportunity to have their say on how we police the county and I am happy that this year we have made that opportunity open to the widest possible audience.”

Views are also being sought on the setting of next year’s budget, with Beds Police needing to save £6 million.
