Have your say on the Love Luton festival

Luton Borough Council says a number of factors conspired to cause losses of £394,000 from the Love Luton festival.

The authority says cost increases were down to lower than expected tickets sales and sponsorship, higher production costs due to poor weather, increased marketing, and the last minute announcement that Lewis Hamilton would be carrying the torch through the Luton town centre, which required extra security and infrastructure.

Councillors will discuss the losses at a meeting on Tuesday, September 11, but we want to hear your thoughts on why the festival was a financial flop...
