Hospital worker charged with sex offences

Beds Police have this morning charged a man with seventeen sexual offences on fourteen men.

Ameet Mohabeer, 28, of Butely Road, Luton, faces thirteen charges of sexual assault on a male contrary to the Sexual Offences Amendment Act 2003 and four charges of causing a man to engage in a penetrative sexual activity contrary to the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

Mohabeer will appear at Luton Magistrates Court this afternoon.

The charges relate to incidents which occurred while he was on duty as a healthcare assistant at ward 17 of the Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

The incidents have been investigated by the Safeguarding Adults Investigation Unit at Bedfordshire Police and the Luton and Dunstable Hospital.
