Hunt for fake policeman who tricked his way into Luton flat

A burglar tricked his way into a Luton flat with an accomplice by pretending to be policemen, police have said.

An e-fit has been released of the man who who carried out the burglary in a flat in Windsor Street, on Sunday, May 15.

Between 7pm and 8pm, the two men came to the front claiming to be police officers before making off with a large amount of money.

The man in the e-fit is described as being in his 20s or 30s, around six feet tall, slim, and wearing a black leather jacket.

The other man is described as being in his late teens or early 20s, wearing a white T-shirt with a motif on the front, and dark trousers.

PC Katy Watts said: “I’m urging anyone who may be able to identify the man in the e-fit or who has any information about the incident to contact us immediately.”
